The Train Show

On Saturday we went to the Train Show at Thanksgiving Point. It was fun, but there were more vendors there than moving train exhibits. We still had a good time and Hayden enjoyed watching the trains. He kept trying to touch them, he's three afterall, so I kept reminding him to look with his eyes. It was pretty crowded because the space was small, so we didn't stay too long.

The Long Weekend

I promise that Hayden is a happy kid, but he doesn't always smile for the camera. I have noticed that when we are in public places, he seems to focus on the other people and he gets easily distracted. I guess he doesn't feel comfortable smiling in front of the camera when strangers are watching.
Over the weekend we decided to go to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. Hayden loves going there to see the dinosaurs, and of course, play in the mudroom (what 3-year-old boy wouldn't).

We also decided to go to the zoo as well. We got a membership for Christmas (thank you Mom and Bob), so even if we didn't stay too long the trip would still be worth it. As you may have guessed, it wasn't very busy at all, but we were still able to see most of the animals. Hayden had fun...until it was time to go. Oh well, I guess we'll be back to visit soon.

Meeting Zoey

So my mom and Bob decided to get another dog, a one year old pug named Zoey. She is cute, playful, trained, and great with kids. Hayden loves her and they took to eachother right away. We've been missing Chewy a lot lately--so much so that Hayden was always pretending to be Chewy. Now he has a little doggy that he can play with again.

Who's the real doggy?

Say Cheese!

This is just a fun picture of my afternoon class from Tuesday. We were talking about Mexico, and I had the kids make tissue paper flowers for art. Everyone got into it--including the boys! The kids all looked so cute and the flowers turned out great, so I decided to take a quick picture of them. Just a little side note, on Tuesdays Hayden isn't in my class so that's why he isn't in this picture.

Happy Birthday Grandpa B.!

We went out to dinner with Bob, my mom and my sister Brooke over the weekend to celebrate Bob's birthday. Hayden decided to act like a 3-year old (if you can believe that), so I let him take some pictures with my camera to keep him occupied. The one he took of my mom and Bob was the best one so that's why it's making it on this post.
Here he is looking so sweet and innocent. I love my little guy more than anything, but boy can he be a handful sometimes.

Pics of our house

I thought that I would put in some pictures of our house for those of you that haven't seen it yet. I don't have any outside shots yet--it was too cold, but I will get some soon. Also, my bedroom was a little disoriented thanks to laundry, but I will eventually post pics of it soon.
This is Hayden's playroom which is the third bedroom on the lower level of our house.
Hayden loves to play with the pretend food and have picnics with me on the floor.

Hayden's new easel is a lot of fun for him. He likes to draw pictures and I can tell that he tries to imitate his preschool teachers with some of the things he writes.

This is a picture of one of the corners of our family room downstairs.

Hayden's things have overtaken this area in our family room.

This is my corner of the family room.

Here are some pictures of Hayden's room. I decided to make it Americana, but he also has some of the things that fit his personality, too (like the trains).

This is the living room, dining and kitchen area. You can also see where the front door to our house is.

This is a view of the living room from the kitchen. The door leads out to the garage.
