Gardner Village, Pumpkins, and Cancer Walk

Saturday (the 17th) we made our way over to Gardner Village to visit the animals at the petting zoo. Hayden loves interacting with the goats, sheep, and pigs that wander freely there.

Since we were visiting this month, we had to check out all of the witches they had displayed there. I think Hayden's favorite one was the witch riding her bicycle above the water, but we didn't manage to get a picture of it.

Friday (the 16th) after school we had our own little pumpkin party.

First we decorated pumpkins and put them out on the porch.

Then we made jack-o-lantern quesadillas.

Last Saturday (the 10th) I joined some of my co-workers in the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk." We walked in honor of a teacher at my school who is currently undergoing treatment, but I was also doing it in rememberence of some of my family who have battled breast cancer as well. Hayden came with me and he did the whole entire walk--what a good little guy (although I promised him that he could play at the park afterwards...a little motivation never hurts).

Cornbelly's

I love this time of year...pumpkins, leaves changing, and Cornbelly's. Today was a perfect fall day, too. We decided to take advantage of our dayoff by going to Thanksgiving Point and doing all the fun activities at Cornbelly's. One of the first things we did (after the pumpkin picture) was the jumping pillow...one of Hayden's favorite things.

Here we are lost in the Kiddie Cornmaze. I let Hayden choose (for the most part) which direction we would go everytime there was a fork in the maze. We ended up getting lost and had to go back the way we came to get out. However, we had fun and that's the important thing.

One of the many slides there.

Enjoying a tractor-pulled hayride. It was pretty fun, but also nice and bumpy.

Playing dress-up...you're never too old to get in the spirit.

Oh, I think Hayden could have done this all day. There's just something about digging in dirt/sand that makes him happy. I'm a girl so it just doesn't have the same effect on me.
