Spring Break: Day Four

On Saturday, we decided to go to one of the bigger public Easter Egg Hunts. Since we live in Draper, I thought that we would try out the hunt at Draper Park. It was pretty crowded, but they divided the hunts according to age. Even though Hayden was in the 3-5 year category, he was still collecting eggs with older people (I am referring to the parents of the other kids who were totally picking up tons of eggs and throwing them into their kids' baskets). I thought the idea of the hunt was to let the kids actually pick up their own eggs. Oh, well! Even though Hayden ended up with about seven eggs he was still pretty happy about it. I tried to get him to pose with the Easter Bunny, but he had a hard time standing with him.
All Hayden really wanted to do when we got to the park was play on the playground...pretty typical kid. After the hunt he did play on the slides, and then he went in the inflatable bouncer that they had set up there, too. In fact, we stayed there until it started to rain, but it was pretty challenging to get Hayden to leave.

Later that day/evening, Hayden got to go to Grandma B.'s house for a sleepover while I drove out to Wendover with Dan, Brooke, and Travis. We had fun (what a good way for Brooke to break in being 21), but I think we all left with a little less than we came with. I actually sat down at a table and played Blackjack, something I've never done before, thanks to Dan (who was a great teacher). Hey, I guess we can say that we went out of town over Spring Break, right.
