Spring Break: Day Three

On Friday, we had lunch with Brianne Poulsen and cute little Kaitlyn by the mall. It's always fun to get together with coworkers in a nonwork environment, and Hayden loved exploring a new playland. Afterwards, we went home for a bit and I let Hayden watch Sesame Street. Well, Elmo's World was all about cameras, so Hayden wanted to take some pictures. We ended up taking a few pictures (some didn't make the post) of us like bunnies and making funny faces.

After hanging out at home, we went out to run some more errands. I was feeling brave, and I decided to take Hayden to Kohl's. He was okay, by "Hayden standards," but I did get a few looks from fellow shoppers. The worst part was when he turned to me and said (quite loudly), "Mommy, I pooped." That's just great, I thought, but fortunately we were at the end of our shopping trip. However, Hayden couldn't stop talking. He went into detail (again, quite loudly) about how he didn't put his hands down his pants this time and get it all over his hands. I tried shushing him, but that only made him more persisitant in telling his story, and even more loudly. Oh well, the joys of motherhood, right! On a side note, I just have to laugh about something. The past two times that I have been browsing in the intimates section is when I have run into parents of students from Summit. At least I wasn't holding up a bra this time (although last time I was when I ran into a mom and her two young girls). Again, that's just how life rolls sometimes, but at least I can laugh about it.

  2. Thats hilarious! That is why I am glad there is a Kohls by me now so that when I have to buy my padded bra...not one person will know!
